North Lake FFA Holds 17th Annual Banquet

The past year has been a great one filled with new learning experiences and good times for the North Lake FFA. The chapter is very involved in district activities and has had the chance to experience the feeling of success and excitement.

On Monday April 6, North Lake FFA Chapter hosted their 17th annual banquet. FFA members, community and staff members, as well as parents gathered to recognize and award FFA students for their achievements in contests, individual projects, and other leadership events. Along with inspiring speeches presented by former Oregon FFA State Secretary Allan Overton, North Lake FFA advisor Chad Waldron, outgoing Chapter President Colleen Hunt and newly elected Chapter President Joe Carlon, the 2009-2010 chapter officer team was installed. Freshmen FFA members were recognized and participated in the Greenhand ceremony. Local FFA supporters were thanked, Troy and Robbi Fine were welcomed into the North Lake chapter as honorary members, and FFA members jump-started the new year.
